ALU-BAZ COMPOSITE cutting and processing centre

Schirmer’s ALU-BAZ COMPOSITE is a compact cutting and processing centre that stands for high performance where speed and precision are concerned. It was designed especially for processing aluminium profiles in a manner that gently handles their surfaces. A flexible workpiece support with NC-controlled clamping technology is integrated. The core of the ALU-BAZ COMPOSITE is a ring module with 6 processing units (O module) that cover all machining processes. The sawing station is separate from the processing station and can be designed with a contour processing station and tool changer, if desired. Different processing steps can take place at the same time.    

    Aluminum Composite

    Technical details:

    • Operator-friendly loading magazine with profile measurement equipment
    • The O-module with 6 processing spindles can be rotated 360°
    • 4-axis sawing unit with continuous cutting angle adjustment
    • 3-axis contour milling station with an automatic tool changer
    • Cooling lubrication system as a micro-dosing system
    • Outbound transport for finished profile rods; an inline option is also possible
    • Beckhoff PC control (TwinCat3) with interpolating axes and remote maintenance
    • Different labelling options
    • Customer- and production-specific enhancements are available upon request.

    ALU-BAZ Orbit-C cutting and processing centre

    Schirmer’s ALU-BAZ Orbit-C is an exceptionally compact cutting and processing centre that makes maximum precision and flexibility possible. All sawing and machining processes take place in only one station. Our patented C-Orbit, which positions our two processing spindles along a circular path, forms the basis of this machine.  A tool-changing system with 20 tool spaces ensures maximum flexibility. The workpiece support is NC-controlled and thus state of the art. After machining, the sawing process takes place using the tilting saw opposite.

    • Semi-circular Orbit-C module with two processing spindles
    • Automatic tool changer with 20 tool spaces
    • 4-axis tilting saw with continuous cutting angle adjustment

    • Outbound transport for finished profile rods; an inline option is also possible
    • Beckhoff PC control (TwinCat3) with interpolating axes and remote maintenance
    • Various labels
    • Customer- and production-specific enhancements are available upon request.

    For special requirements: The ALU-BAZ Circular cutting and processing centre

    Schirmer’s ALU-BAZ Circular combines the advantages of the ALU-BAZ COMPOSITE and the ALU-BAZ Orbit-C. While drawing upon proven solutions, we combine the Composite processing module with the Orbit-C processing and sawing module to create an extremely flexible and high-performing processing centre with the customary precision from Schirmer.     Sorter

    The robust sorters from Schirmer are combined with the cutting and rod processing centres within production. They have three NC-controlled axes. Servo motors generate their drive. The automated sorters work at the same speed as the profile processing line. Processed profiles are systematically placed in harp racks.

    Multicut Composite

    The automatic cutting machine Multicut Composite from Schirmer was designed especially for cutting special profiles with a wide range of cross-sections. In its basic configuration, one highly flexible sawing unit can be used to cut a wide range of different profile geometries.
